1. Spot color inks are more accurate in color matching. In theory, the three primary colors plus black can be used to match any color through overprinting, and finally present different colors. However, there are many factors that affect the final color of the printed product, such as: ink balance, overprinting effect, overprinting accuracy, operator skills, etc. Moreover, the accuracy, brightness, ink color, etc. of the color are difficult to achieve through overprinting, so spot color inks are used for matching.

2. Consider the cost and post-processing process. If the background color of the finished product uses the same color, other large-area spot colors will be used for matching in the post-processing process. Using spot color printing will save a process in the printing process, thereby reducing the printing cost.

3. Customer needs. With the continuous diversification and personalization of customer needs, many customers will require the printing factory to use designated spot colors for design and production when choosing design and printing to achieve the desired effect. The most common are corporate LOGO, personalized business cards, high-end packaging, etc.

What are the basic requirements for spot color ink mixing? Since spot colors are mixed with ink, there are high requirements in terms of hue mixing, printing suitability, quantity, etc. Only by meeting these requirements can the best effect and cost savings be achieved.
